View Full Version : Closest regular events to College station?

Hey guys, i was wondering if there are any semi-regular events near CS, possibly houston? For the moment i'm just looking for some to watch but once i get a car i'd like to drift some events too. :)

Theres an event TOMORROW at Gulf Greyhound Park in Texas City. Its about 20min from Houston

Yeah it was fun, hopefully getting a job tomorrow which means.... time to save so i can DRIVE events instead of watching.

hey there is auto cross in college station. its kind of like drifting. lol

Not to be a dick but how is autocross like drifting in any way lol.

Drifting objective: slide with biggest angle, best line, speed, etc. Summary: Slide.

Autocross objective: Get around the course the fastest, requiring maximum grip. Summary: Dont slide.


Imo they're almost opposites. Still fun though, wheres the event?

you may look at it that way. but this is how i look at it. drift even = 45 and in mineral wells, auto cross = 25 and right by where you live (i think?) both are in parkinglots and involve cones, and have no speed limits or sound ordinances or cops or anything like that. and you only have to have maximum grip and go around the course faster than everyone else if you want to. or you can slide with huge angle and try to go faster than everyone with a little added style. idk. thats how i did it last week. i didnt win though. lol
