i jus don't get it anymore.
new plugs, wires, fuel filter, octane booster, air filter, the works...but the car still doesn't rev over 3-4k....sometimes it will but sometimes it won't.
you can hear the intak filter sucking in air but the car isn't firing properly...any ideas?

not your maf take your fuel pump out and check, may be rust or dirt in tank,
+1 on fuel pump. may also be a bad ground. When we got Katies hatch it wouldnt go over 3-4k until I replaced the missing body ground. Check for a good connection and clean

+1 on checking fuel pump. when it gets up to 4k, does it just feel like its out of power? are you misfiring? have you checked what shape the plugs are in? I had the same problem with the RX, only between the 6-8k range and it was mostly TPS and timing, the other part of it is in the manifold, but that doesn't relate to a 240

misfiring yes, it jus sounds like no fuel is getting in, but i know there is cause i changed the fuel filter and there was pressure and fuel.
just because there is pressure doesnt mean there is enough volume. We get that all the time at work. Even though the pressure reads within spec, itll die off w/ rpm. If you have another pump, swap it, its easy
the ground I fixed on Katies car was the main ground. Goes from battery to fender to engine
