300zx TT fuel filter
99lb walbro fuel pump
sohc MAF
dohc guage cluster
FMIC godspeed makes a good one
exhuast
if u get a ECU make sure its a 62 even tuned ones will work as long its for ut car ,the S14 and S13 and S15 have diffrent ones , i used to have a blitz ECU and switch to a stock , but juss as long as its a 62 for a s13 it will work
um do u want ac ?? wat year is the car for 89 the low pressure side bolts up , high side needs to have brakect cut and have the sr one welded on to it
for new chassis there is a bracket you can get to use the KA setup and not use the sr compressor
get boost gauge and water temp i use prosport guages ,same functions as defi
stock radiator works fine but ur guna want a aftermarket eventually
if u get a aftermarket radiator get fans , so far the best results have come from ALTIMA fans or ford tourus fans
flexlites suck balls , umm get NGK Vpower spark plugs if you need some already gaped for a sr let me know ill tell my friend to order them for you
you can use sentra SR20 spark plugs but u have to gap them down , i buy my pregaped and a heat range colder for the same price
umm motor mounts if needed , peak performance or nismo i sugest
godspeed is a good brand for there radiators ,
a good clutch , exedy is good and checp i have a one , and had it for a long time never slips never has a problem ,
for start up buy cheap oil so you can run it through the system and use like seafoam to clean it all out then replace oil with good oil
Belts (PS, AC, alt) Gates K050370 Alt. K040345 PS & AC
(Dayco belts - 5050370 ALT, 5040345 PS)
Ignitor chip '95 Q45
theres another ignighter you can use but i dont remember what it is ,,, if you need the write ups for wiring let me know or talk to my friend charles hes wired up acouple sr's hes clarkbar on here
umm if i can think of more or you have questers let me know ill hook u up if u need parts or info on where to get good parts , or write ups and wiring stuff

^ on the nismo mounts i know they make sr20's sit higher so its harder to fit strut bars
welcome grim

post some pics up of the car
i don't know a whole lot about the SR other than what we've been doing on Cattman's car. He did the S14 motor which requires a little bit of wiring unless you plan on buying a pre-made adapted harness for the shell. What are your plans for the car as far as HP?
As far as Rad and Fan go, Matt did the Mishimoto rad w/ fans and that has been working well
The Fuel pump and filter are also a great idea if you plan on cranking the boost up, even if its only a little bit extra. Its better to buy those now then run lean later.
Oil pressure, Temp, Boost, are good thing to have in there. I would agree that prosport makes some great gauges. A wideband 02 sensor would be a great idea to have in there to let you know how the car is running and help with tuning later on down the road if you plan on getting a better tune

the fuel filter and pump is needed for the swap or it will potential run like crap altho you can use the KA pump but its not as good and u juss simply need the fuel filter lol i think the KA one is to small

DO NOT USE A KA MAF. it doesnt matter if it will work or not. ANY good engine supplier will include a workin sr20 maf for the swap. my radiator and fan set up works great. buy a boost controller either electronic or manual...you dont want boost spikes. then again im running a t3/t4 top mounted on my s14sr. dont skimp on cooling products and dont do things half assed to save money. do it right, do it once. gl on the build sir
MOST SWAPS come with....
Head
Block
Turbo
Intake Manifold
Sensors
Exhaust Manifold
Fuel Rail
Injectors
Throttle Body
Alternator
Power Steering Pump
Engine
5 Speed Transmission
Wiring
ECU
MAF Sensor
Igniter Chip
Cattman bought his from http://www.jdmenginescorp.com/
That means you need:
Intercooler/piping either stock sidemount setup or godspeed does make a decent kit for the price
blow off valve if not stock recirculated style
boost gauge
downpipe
I would recommend upgrading the radiator and fans. Mishimoto sells a good combo setup or you can use FAL fans(what I have) which work GREAT!!! If you dont have money for that you can use the stock radiator to get you by and just buy flexable rad hoses from auto zone or wherever
extra wire to extend harness if you dont buy a premade one(you can use your butchered KA harness for that)
KA fuel pump will get you on the road but would recommend Walbro 255(might aswell)
vaccum hose, heater hose
fluids
someone to wire it up(not that hard), lol
cattman has a link to some guys that sell premade harnesses for like $350...all you gotta do is plug it all in and your done
Aside from that you should be good. obviously if you upgrade anything itll take a little more but thats pretty much the bare basics to get you going...pm me if you have any questions ;D ;D ;D

and btw not to start a argument or nthn but about 80 percent of sr swaps have ben using a KA MAF ive had mine for almost 2 years and never even a hiccup in that dep.
wats the website for the guy that sells the premade harnness??????
can he do black top stuff ?
and charles is your KA really guna be for sale ?

i know we're not trying to start an argument, but the fact about the MAF is that they are all different, they are meant to interpret the airflow differently for each ECU, which is why there are so many different models. The reason people say use the SOHC is because it "works" and most people see it as a permanent fix when in fact it is just a band aid on the problem, but then again most people just slap a motor together and don't care about making it run as well as it SHOULD and COULD run. SOHC MAF can work but that doesn't mean its the best way to do things. bottom line, the link ryan posted is a great place to start your hunt as they do have lots of motors in stock, its best to go pick yours out because a few people in the circle have gone there and hand picked motors that came with loads of goodies that they might not have gotten if they had just ordered it on line

Here is the web address of the harness guys: http://www.wiringspecialties.com/
You have to send them your KA and SR harnesses + Money and you get a clean working swap harness in return.

WELL I WANT TO DRIFT IT,BUT I LOVE HORSEPOWER,IM A HP FREAK SO, IM THINKING SOMEWHERE AROUND THE 500HP RANGE,MY TRUCK HAD THAT KIND OF POWER,I LOVED IT.
killakingquan
07-10-2008, 04:49 PM
umm u might wana go rb26 or ls1 lol atleast for that HP its guna take alot of money to get a reliagle 500 hp drift car , i mean its can happen but with a hell of alot of lag
GRIM_CASTWAY
07-10-2008, 06:42 PM
i dont mind lag,ill just keep it in the almight powerband.
killakingquan
07-10-2008, 06:51 PM
its hard , even russell has a fully built sr20 and didnt hit 500 if anything hes in the the high 300s i think and has a gt30sumthin , the ls1 makes 400+ but its not turbo either
Gumbo
07-10-2008, 07:14 PM
You can do LS1 + Z06 Cams and a few other little things and you'll be around 500hp
killakingquan
07-12-2008, 02:13 AM
i dont think aaron hit 500 not sure tho but his car is fully built
You can do LS1 + Z06 Cams and a few other little things and you'll be around 500hp
VERY easily! My build will put out over 450hp with just a cam and some mild head work. LS1s make STUPID HP, they just cost alot to do the swap.
Cattman
07-12-2008, 05:09 PM
...i can show over 10 sr20dets that make over 1000hp. :) you just have to do all the research, grim...just find a ka that isnt raped and drop it in. then you can either buy a swap or buy a blown sr for cheap and build the shit out of it. ive done so much research on the power makers or for this ride and talked to some serious SERIOUS hp freaks. anything is possible and the sr is power hungry if you do everything RIGHT. no cheap ass parts no drunking tuning sessions...and you will need better fuel. anyway...good luck. hit me or anyone up if you have some specific questions, or come hang out at our shop and talk to us and we'll figure everything out and show you some options. take it easy.
