300HP? CAN IT BE RELIABLE?
Clarkbar

yes.. if you keep up with basic maintenance... and build it right... any engine will last long... except ones heavily modified... bores, shaving ect. anything can go wrong!!!! keep it stock and tuned for response not power, if for power build for 600hp run it at 400.. get my drift?

lol yall are funny . n yea u can make a reliable one with the right parts juss depends on what your working with you know , gota have the right turbo and as far as wich power band you want , what kind of internels , u could always buy a tomiei block , lol but that cost , if u look up a drifter name tyler cox , he has a s14 it has a fully built tomiei block , should be well over 400 hp , altho he is selling it , it is rather nice

theres an old saying...
cheap-reliable-fast, choose 2 because you can't have all three
you want to get a reliable 475 out of the SR? not a problem, just be willing to spend a crap ton of money. if you want to make that power and have it be "reliable" you would have to shoot for building the car for 600 or more and then detune from there. at those hight numbers you have to start looking at the bearings, pistons, rods, probably a new valve train, basically you would have to rebuild the motor completely in order to keep it "reliable"

if you have the money anything is possible , but then again if u can afford to build a 400 hp daily u might as well juss have a daily and make that a track car , and a car to show off while rollin thru down town wit some girls lol
