they are basicly like hks ones but valved a little different people do street drive on them think about it this way they will ride better than ksport or the megans i got (not looking forward to the 12k and 10k spring rates) i would def. get them if you can get a deal on them get them now and keep the hook up so i can get them later lol

they have 3 versions available
YF Spec (Fr8/Re6)
YF Spec Plus (Fr10/Re9)
(New Hyper-D, Fr8/Re7)
8/6 is what my KTS are and they don't ride bad at all. I'm considering ordering some 9/7 springs just to play around with the car and see how it reacts. Wish mine came like the stance which come with two sets of spring rates.......

True that if you can get a "really good deal" do it if you have the dough. Shouldn't have really been a question considering how sweet Yoshio Factory is with that sexy pink.

no juss cuz it says yoshio doesnt mean there the best , cuz ive also rode in a car with kei coilovers made my drift king himself and it felt like shit ... in that bein said its a personal prefrence , juss cuz its rare doesnt make it the best , and btw theres alot of so called rare parts that are now being made in the usa so then every one is guna have it anyway

If you have 1,8xx to spend on coils don't get yashio's get kw variant 3 coilovers those are easily better coilovers than anything yashio puts out. Stance gr+pros are also another coilover worth looking at over the yashios. I'm not saying the the yashios suck or anything as they carry the same features as any other mid range coilover like kts/stance but surely do not carry the same price as a mid range.
Quick little comparison
KTS ($1090) STANCE+pro (~$1,300) -----Yashio (~$1,8xx
Inverted monotube X x x
Multiple spring rate options x(upon request) 8/6 X (8k/6k)&(9k/7k x (8k/5k) (9k/5k)
9/7
Camber plates(pillow ball) x x x

I just think they're pretty and rare so I'd get them for my pimp ride, but don't have $1800 to sling around. I'm sure that better do exist, but come on Yashio pink is sick as hell. I'm sure someone else will get them they won't be orphaned for long and they'll get put to use.

the motor mounts where for travis , n i dont buy stuff juss cuz it looks cool , if ima spend 1800 on suspension its guna be worth it but i dont know anything bout spring ratios and stuff thats why i ask

well fyi not worth 1800..... They arent any different than the other coilovers in their price range. KW's are well worth the 1800 because of the external resevoirs and independant rebound and dampening adjustment. Save your money get kts or stance and get more suspension arms for you car.

wats good spring rate?
pete240

9K/7K is a good rate to go with. It really depends on if your running on the street or track. For the street 9/7 is still going to be tollerable. If its track only you can much stiffer. Let it be known that if you pair the coilovers with a decent set of sways you won't need to go as stiff.

is ther a way for me to find out what spring rate my s13 is at ,
all i know is there tanabe sustec pro and thats it
n there all red with orange sleeves
killakingquan

wow ryan didnt i juss say i dont know anything about my coilovers , i think all tanabe coilovers are red , so thats not guna do much on google,

umm, unless you have some really weird set i would assume 8k front/ 6k rear. that is straight off their website on the Sustec Pro and Sustec Pro type II. If you have no idea what setup you have on there, then there is no real way to identify what spring rate you have

yea these are about a year or 2 old , i dont think there even on the site any more , thanks tho chris , ima take off the wheel and see if i can find sumthin on the coilover

i really don't think they would change the spring rates that much over the years. bottom line is they are probably very similar as far as spring rate, the difference being the the dampening and rebound
Cattman

i agree with chris fully. thats a really common spring rate. most companies run about the same until you start getting into full race and motorsport specific setups.
