View Full Version : NO more DD events
John and Alex decided NOT to host events anymore. The event this weekend was the last one as it COST them money and they weren't going to pay out of pocket anymore. discuss....

I would do the same thing. the scene was slowly falling off and they did their events ONTOP of having regular nine to fivers. it would put way too much stress and strain to try and juggle something that really people pissed on. everyone complains that there isnt enough sanctioned events and about getting busted street drifting(not talkin about you chuckles ;) ) but no one wanted to front their cash and preregister and it was costing john and alex more than it was worth. so all in all, shitty situation but i would have done the same thing

dd no more events??? :( I am so sad. But if I were in there shoes, I would of done the same thing. I mean nobody appreciated how much alex and john did to put those events on. But still i am going to miss taking trips up there and falling asleep at the wheel on the way home..LOL
I think they are just going to do comp events now. No practice stuff unless there is enough interest. There has been alot of buzz on h240. Mabey the houston guys will realize how good they really have it and actually make a turn out. That or theyll have to go to min wells or our events.

I agree with you ryan. Those guys instead of talking about san antonio drifters should just look at how lucky theyare that it just right there in their home town. But since dd is giong to stop doing practice evetns maybe they will open their eyes. you never know. It would be funny though with them coming to sa events considering they talk alot of trash about san antonio drifters. LOL i find that funny.....
you get what you pay for. I guess we value events a little more because we actually have to travel several hours and it costs us alot more than it does them.
