i tested the tps on the 20ohms mark and it didnt read 5 closed and .7 WOT
mabye its being tested wrong , we used the top pin and the middle pin , and the bottom pin and the middle pin , nthn matches to the fsm
heres whats going on

my car doesnt run like its supose to ,

with tps hooked up ,
idle is crazy , surging up and down from 1300 to 800 ,
when driving and coming to a stop it will shoot down and nearly die out and shoot back up

we timed the car and forgot to hook the tps back up and i drove the car

it drove perfect , idle at 800 , no problems , drove fast , coming to a stop it went to like 700 or 600 and came back up , nothing crazy though ,good throttle response

when i noticed the tps unhooked still , i hooked it back up and started the car , it wouldnt even hold idle because it was too low , so i had to raise it again

also

we were working on it earlier and was timing the car , , previously it was timed at 15 degrees but still felt off , when we looked at the cas and put the timing light on it , it was way off , like half an inch away from the dash , it looked super advanced but drove fine

if i put it to where 15 was then it drove like shit , slugish , backfiring the works , so i put it back to where it was when it was first timed

i doubt it skiped a tooth or anything like that

so im thinkin mabye i stabed it wrong , and timing it with a bad idle , or not being in timing mode has something to do with that

its not maf , its not injectors

it has a ssqv bov not recirculated

do you think the tps is just bad , we tried to read my friends but his read the same as mine , but he thinks his was broke too , so not much help there

this was also said

Dont quote me but Im pretty sure the FSM is wrong on the TPS resistance. If you search you will find threads regarding that.

Not much help but its a place to start.

Take the valve cover off, make sure its at TDC then re stab correctly, then put back in time. If that fails then you can elimate that, then move to tps, swap with a good known one and see what happens... oh yeah and make sure you put your idle air back to specs I know you've been fucking with it.. after all that it should work, have fun!

how are you sure they are not bad? if the resistance isn't right it throws everything off. did you try checking the voltage on the TPS at idle and WOT? The easiest way is to just check the resistance of the sensor from closed to full, checking for any dead spots and making sure it doesn't read out of spec. also when you are checking it, make sure the DMM is set to the right range.

what is a dmm ?

yea me and pedros read the same , i also found out that the fsm info on the specs are backwards , im going to clean it and suck some stuffin my engine in a little bit ,

(i hear i can put water in my oil to make it drive better :) ) lmao im playin but yea ill post back , ima also check voltage too

dmm is a digital multimeter get one that is auto ranging that way you dont have to worry about putting it on the right value radio shack has one that is good about forty dollars lasted about six years untill my clutch fan decided to play catch with it but it also could be a vacume leak maybe wouldnt hurt to check

I think you have vaccum leak

ok thanks but thats cool i have a multimeter i just never refered to it as that , im cleaning the iacv then ima run some seafoam ,

and no vacum leak i vacuum perfect as well as using a boost leak tester and found no leaks
