Hey everybody, my name's Jeff. Met Guffman at a get-together with some friends, and he told me to check out the site.

I'm from San Antonio, and I'm going to UTSA. I'm on the Formula SAE team there, which is great fun, and takes up most of my time.
I've been into drifting for a damn long time, and I've been watching at events since 2003 but I've never driven at an event. I have a '93 240 hatchback that I'll hopefully be getting into decent shape soon, so hopefully I'll get a chance to drive with you guys.

Yeah, it kinda sucks. I just haven't had time or money to get my car ready. It's almost good to go now, though. Just a little electrical work to do.

Yeah, SAE is amazing. If anyone on here is going to UTSA, I'd really recommend joining. It's a great way to get into racing without spending a lot of your own money. Here are some pics of our car.

We didn't manage to finish the endurance portion of the event because one of our bellcranks broke. We still managed to finish in 28th place out of about 70 teams.

Yezzir. Last year we used a Honda CBR F4i 4-cylinder (600cc). This year, we're using a KTM 450cc single-thumper. The motor alone is 30 lbs lighter than the old one, and it lets us make the wheelbase 6 inches shorter.

It sure is. He's back in Japan now. We're hoping he'll be able to fly out for competition this summer. I guess you know him through school?

Yeah, he's cool as hell. His Miata with a trailer hitch is now owned by a guy on our team named Angel. That thing always makes me laugh.
