I hope you guys can help me out with this prob. yeah so the other day was trying to back out ofmy garage and the damn pedal would go all the way to the floorboard without any pressure to it. it goes almost all the way down with the last quarter of it i would apply pressure to it but couldnt get it in reverse. tried to put it in first and still would go. the pedal is so loose you dont have to push down hard for it to hit the floor. is my freekin clutch out or is it something else? any help guys??

your master cylinder is bad or you slave cylinder is bad
look under car carpet to see if the master is leaking ,
check the boot on the slave

yeah dont think its leakin on floorboard but havent really messed with it for a couple of days. ill prolly check it tonight or tom. for those solutions. but u think its not the clutch itself? reverse would sometimes scrape once in a while

i would guess it isnt the clutch. the softness sounds like a hydrolics issue

that would be your slave cylinder if your pedal is on the floor. just get a new one and you'll be golden.

yea prolly at ryans house. if not there pick&pull.
Ill look and see if I have one. Just to reitterate... Jack your car up and have someone push the pedal in and out. If the piston on the slave isn't moving then thats probably what it is. VERY common on our cars.

just buy one from autozone they should have one that has a life time warranty. if you get a used one your just going to have to replace it sooner or later.

thats a good point might just do that so i get a new piece. dont want to keep replacing it if it goes out again. cost a few bucks more but worth it in the long run.

so picked up a new one from autozone today and plan to swap out the old one soon when i get a chance this weekend.hopefully dont fuck up something easy to do prolly check out how to bleed the system right online or can someone clue me in?
i would need new clkutch fluid of course with the new slave right. which kind is best?

To simplify the bleeding process I would bypass the clutch damper box thing that is located on the passenger frame rail next to the slave. Once you do this you can bleed directly from the slave and you get slightly increased pedal feel. Any fluid will work but if you want someone to throw out a name grab a bottle of valvoline DOT 3...

they arent that much from a parts store, wanna say around 15 bucks.. I would prefer a new one vs. a used one. but if you get it for free.. then why not? Let us know if you fix it or still have problems man
